About Axis Robotics
Axis Robotics crowdsources robot training data through the browser-based Axis Hub, attacking the data bottleneck of physical AI: expert demonstrations are expensive and narrow, while noisy crowd-collected trajectories average out during training into usable policies. Contributors are paid for verified quality rather than raw volume, and tasks and trajectories are recorded on Base.
The data engine runs four lines: simulation teleoperation (200,000+ contributors, 4.7 million+ trajectories, 13 embodiments), egocentric real-world capture (1,000+ collectors, 200,000+ hours), humanoid loco-manipulation, and human-gated correction loops. This year it open-sourced the Franka simulation dataset V1 (50,000+ trajectories, 207 tasks) and built digital-twin pipelines for embodiment makers such as Booster Robotics, reaching 87.5% task success from just 30 real-robot demonstrations.
Founded in San Francisco in 2025, Axis Robotics starts from the judgment that robotics lacks physical interaction data rather than models, and crowdsources training trajectories.
In March 2026 Axis launched its main product on Base, recording verified operation data from browser simulators and mobile apps onchain and rewarding global contributors through a train-to-earn model.
Its first test, The Little Prince's Rose, gathered over 10,000 valid trajectories in three days; the resulting policy autonomously watered plants on a physical Franka arm, an early sim-to-real proof.
On July 27, 2026 Axis raised a $12 million seed round led by Hack VC, with Nomad Capital, Pi Network Ventures, 10K Ventures and angel investors participating.
By September 2026 Axis had generated more than 5.5 million trajectories from over 200,000 contributors, ranking among Base's most active apps, and sells task datasets to robot makers and physical-AI model companies.
In September 2026 Axis sold 10 million AXIS at $0.10 through Sonar, 1% of supply at a $100 million fully diluted valuation, with the token used for data incentives and network governance.
Major progress: The AXIS token launched on Base on October 10, and its TGE on October 21 landed on Binance Alpha, Coinbase, Upbit, Gate and other venues, briefly up more than 500% on day one; earlier, a community sale of 10M tokens at $0.10 ran September 21-28, alongside a $12M seed round led by Hack VC.
Token unlocks: Season 1 airdrops 40M tokens (4% of supply) with 50% unlocked at TGE and 25% each around January 21 and April 21, 2027; Season 2 opened October 23 with 60M tokens (6%); circulating supply is 165M of 1B, with a market cap near $45M.
Axis Robotics went from launch to token issuance in 2026: it launched on Base in March, crowdsourcing robot training trajectories through browser simulation and a mobile app, and has generated more than 5.5 million data trajectories with over 200,000 contributors, ranking among the top two DApps in the Base ecosystem. On July 27 it closed a $12 million seed round led by Hack VC with participation from Nomad Capital, Pi Network Ventures, 10K Ventures and others. In September it opened a community sale for the AXIS token and completed its TGE at the end of the month.
Axis Robotics's Future strategy and roadmap: Axis Robotics' moat is not the model but the provenance record: every accepted trajectory gets a unique Data ID on Base, so buyers can verify origin, which lets crowdsourced data bid against expensive lab collection. The USD 12 million seed led by Hack VC on 27 July, plus Base Batches 003, underpins its ability to push collection costs below what mainnet recording would allow. The real test sits on the demand side — whether robotics firms and AI labs pay a premium for traceable scale instead of buying cheaper, untraceable data.
